You owe it to yourself to carefully check out all the different makes and models of compact camping trailers..... By all means, I truly want you to. You see, the better you are informed, the better Lees-ure Lite trailers will look. Compare the quality of construction, the extreme ease of set-up, the competitive pricing, and then decide for yourself. It shouldn't be too difficult......
Probably the single biggest stand out feature of a Lees-ure Lite trailer is the lightning fast, extremely easy setup. One person can quickly and with very little effort, open or close this trailer with no problem. Even a "first timer" will have it set up in seconds. It's just that simple. With the built in stabilizers folded down, simply open it up. While the lid is being opened, the tent will be opening up all by itself! Step inside onto the solid fiberglass floor to extend and lock in a single tent support, and with a simple lift of the small interior bed extension, the short, sturdy supports swing down into place. That's it! Only seconds! You can probably do it faster than you can say it. No cumbersome bed boards or flimsy exterior bed props, no unfolding and attaching the tent, no crawling around on your knees unfolding numerous supports. Also, an easily overlooked feature unique to a Lees-sure Lite is that there's no need to take apart and pack away your bedding every time you close the trailer. Think about the time spent folding, packing, unpacking, then setting up your sleeping bags, mattresses, pillows, blankets, etc. Wouldn't it be nice to open up your trailer and have your bed already laying there, ready to go? This is a HUGE time saver.
Lees-ure Lite trailers are both lightweight and strong with a very clever, simple design that has less things to fool with and less things to go wrong.
The open sided demonstration trailer pictured on the right shows the interior layout when set up. Note that the bed is solidly situated inside the actual fiberglass body of the trailer, not on plywood boards propped up in mid-air, and that the solid fiberglass floor (as opposed to a canvas floor like a tent) is around 12 cm (4,5") up off the ground. With the 5 cm (2") lip, you have more than ample "flood" protection without a large step up into the trailer.
Another important feature unique to Lees-ure Lite trailers is the ability to easily store your trailer tipped up on end. With a footprint of only 92 x 142 cm (Excel) och 92 x 127 cm (Cycle)when stood up, the space savings when stored may be enough to allow storage in your dry, secure garage instead of out in the yard.
There are two different models available, which are virtually identical except for the width. The Cycle model which is 122 cm (48") wide, and the Excel model which is 137 cm (54") wide.
The breathable fabric used on a Lees-ure Lite trailer is "water repellent". For a sustained heavy rain, you really should have a rain fly. This is probably the one single option you really need to have.
One of the most popular options is an awning. The awning attaches securely to the main tent with a heavy duty zipper, and is supported by collapsible poles and guy lines. (Pictured at right, double awnings, one with optional Add A Room/Garage.) There is no need to remove the awning (or awnings if you use two) when folding up the trailer. Before folding the tent, simply remove the awning poles, flip the awning over the trailer, and secure the loose corners to the tent. Awnings are available in five or seven foot widths. We recommend the seven foot width since you get so much more space.
You can relax in a "bug-free" environment with the screen room, or add an extra room for more bunk space/storage. You can even use the extra room as a garage for your bike. You don't have to choose which....You can have both! With two entrance doors you can have one on each side. With an Awning/Room attached on each side, the overall width is an incredible 5+ m (18+ feet)! Both the Add A Room, and the Screen Room attach to the awning and tent (awning purchased separately).
These 2" thick mattresses come with a removable cloth cover and are custom made to fit Lees-ure Lite's trailers. They are made so that the end is easily flipped over on to itself before folding down the interior bed extension.
Trailerskirts are mostly for design and apperance but are also ideal for nonvisability when you put things under the trailer. The sidepanels comes one with each room order, the front panel must be ordered separatly.
These pockets comes in three different sizes. Could be used at bedside and the larger ones could be used as wardrobes if you want to. All three has a number of pockets in different sizes.
Lees-ure Lite recommends this option for heavier owners over 250lbs, because as the lid is flipped open it becomes the floor. Rick (the owner of Lees-ure Lite) told us that they have NEVER replaced a lid that was broken or cracked from too much weight, so we guess this is more of a "feel good" type of option. However, we as a service always assume that you should have it, so it is always checked on the order form. If you don´t want it remember to uncheck it before you send in your order.
This lockable storage container is constructed from 16 guage aluminum, mounts under the trailer, and is a great place to store rolled up carpet/astroturf mat, axe, compact camp chairs, etc.. Measurements are 12" X 6" X 52" long on the Excel model, 44" long on the Cycle MODEL. It's low mounting point located towards the rear of the trailer can help reduce tongue weight when loaded "front heavy" such as when using the storage pod. It is not sealed water tight, so plan on storing things here that won't be damaged by the weather or in their own water tight container.
This very handy option is not only extremely useful, it also enhances the appearance of your Lees-ure Lite trailer. The aerodynamically styled storage Pod measures 29"L X 17"D X 39" widest point. It is lockable, and has a weather strip to seal out the elements. This easily accessible container is a great place to carry things that you may need while traveling.
These covers are custom made in a variety of colors to match your vehicle.
Another popular option, wide tires look great on the street and are recommended for extra floatation when used off-road such as behind Jeeps or ATVs. Go from the stock 4.80 X 8¨ tire to a 16.5 X 6.5 X 8¨ tire on a wider rim. Tires are 6 ply rated with a maximum load capacity of 795lbs each.
The spare tire kit comes with a mount for putting it under the trailer.
A swivel coupler allows a motorcycle unlimited lean angles without binding on the hitch ball. Some people feel that this is an absolute must when pulling a trailer behind a motorcycle. Some people don't. While the jury may still be out on whether this is an absolute necessity, it certainly doesn't hurt anything. We use one ourselves. Since this coupler doesn´t fit on a standard 50 mm ball it comes with a 1 7/8" ball.
An important feature unique to Lees-ure Lite trailers is the ability to easily store your trailer tipped up on end. With a footprint of only 36¨ X 56¨ when stood up, the space savings when stored may be enough to allow storage in your dry, secure garage instead of out in the yard. Note that if your garage ceiling is not high enough, you may have to remove the tongue. (2 bolts)
